Attendance

Information for Parents/carers-

Broadstones School has a whole school focus on attendance, we believe pupils need to be in school to access learning opportunities, develop strong social skills and to take advantage of the range of choices available to them here at Broadstones.

Pupils attendance is monitored daily and certificates awarded to pupils with 100% attendance each week.

We regularly inform parents/carers of their child’s attendance through termly pupil reports. This same information is made available to potential further education institutions and employers.

We undertake meetings in school or home visits with parents/carers when a pupil’s attendance becomes a concern. This is to see how we, as a school, can support pupils and their families to overcome any barriers they may have to help them improve their attendance.
